And so as 2018 draws to a close it’s time to have a quick pictorial look back over the year. Though based in the Southwest, I travel anywhere for a wedding if I’m a good fit for the couple. This year it’s all been UK based though, I’ve crossed the length and breadth of the country for weddings, From London to Edinburgh and back down to Devon and Somerset. Along the way, this year, I’ve picked up 6 international wedding photojournalism awards, all of which resulted in my being ranked the no 1 wedding photographer in Devon by the WPJA for whatever that may be worth, I take these things with a pinch of salt or three. Some of those award winning wedding pictures are in this set, that said the pictures that follow aren’t supposed to be a ‘best of’ or a ‘highlights reel’, these are simply a handful of pictures to capture the essence of my year. Some of the people, some of the stories, chosen almost at random from the respective collections of pictures. Put simply these are pictures that I like and remind me of the weddings I’ve attended this year. They’re fairly representative of what I do, there’s no need for me to be putting up a best of. This unposed, relaxed natural wedding photography is what I do for my couples.
Most importantly I want to say thank you to all those couples who had me along to their weddings this year. I’m not the type to gush and litter cheese all over the page, this is a cheese free site! But Thank You to all of those people. Those who found something in my work that resonated with them and then placed their trust in me to make a document of their day. All those people who took me into their inner circles for the day and let me make these pictures, If you’re reading this, you know who you are. Thank you.
Enough of that. This is what I do, If you’re getting married, I make pictures like these for people like you. If these pictures speak to you and you wonder whether if I might be the photographer for you, then get in touch , let’s find out. Who ever you are, where ever you’re getting married if I’m right for you then I’ll be there, all you have to do is ask before someone else does.
