A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing a lovely wedding party for a couple at their home in Suffolk. John and Mary-Ann had got married a little while ago and then hosted a post wedding party in their garden. A large group of family and friends made their way through the Suffolk country lanes to John and Mary-Ann’s home for champagne on the lawn, a hog roast, cake and the chance to meet and catch up with old friends. It was the perfect day for it, bright and sunny – a tiny spot of rain while people retreated into the Marquee for food and cake (more on the cake and pictures of it below) didn’t dampen the affair. There were dogs diving into muddy ponds, luckily none of the children followed suit, and by some stroke of luck a local airshow meant that the guests were gifted a flypast from a couple of spitfires and a pair of what I think were f16 jets. The cake was a treat too (I am a too big fan of cake) with fantastic sugarpaste flowers made by John’s daughter, professional cake maker Rosey Nugent. If you’re looking for a cake maker you should definitely have a look at her work. Edible Creations By Rosey. If you’re looking for a photographer for your wedding or party and you like what you see here drop me a line, I’d love to talk to you about it.
The day as ever is best described by the pictures. Enjoy.
