I’ve seen a fair amount of Huntsham Court wedding photography, it’s one of those venues that I always liked the look of but never had the opportunity to shoot at myself. But at last the day came! Emma and Mike live on a canal boat in London but Emma grew up in Devon and so it was to Devon they came and Huntsham Court in particular for their wedding in early April.
Huntsham Court describes itself as ‘your giant home from home’ and an ‘un hotel’ and I have to say it’s a perfect venue for a wedding. Conde Naste Brides Magazine called Huntsham “an incredible Victorian mansion….one of the most sought after venues in the UK…with no boring rule book in sight” and there was definitely no rule book in play at Emma and Mike’s wedding. On the day Emma and Mike had a small army of suppliers and friends and family helping out with various bits. The ceremony itself was a handfasting, Mike’s mum sang as Emma made her entrance. There were entertainers , a band and dj, and oysters! I don’t think I’ve ever told you how much I love oysters. If you have oysters at your wedding you have to invite me, it’s in the rules. Emma’s sister made the cake. All in all a special and spectacular day. Spectacular not least because of Emma’s dress and floral hat. You’ll see what I mean in the pictures…
If you’re getting married at Huntsham Court or anywhere else and you like what you see here then why not get in touch for a chat about your plans?
