Back in 2016 I shot a wedding for a couple called Aisha and Ali. You can see that Polhawn Fort wedding a bit further back in the blog. It was a great pleasure then to receive an email a year or so later from Aisha’s sister Mariam asking whether I remembered her, of course I did, and whether I was able to shoot her wedding at the Grove Hotel in Watford.
For me as a wedding photographer one of the best, most satisfying things that can happen is something like this. A couple like Mariam and Haseeb who have seen your work up close and seen you at work up close and then decide that you’re the one for them with no need to look at other photographers, it’s the greatest accolade, far more important to me than any award, it’s the best stamp of approval that I can think of.
So it was with great anticipation that I headed to Watford in March this year for Mariam and Haseeb’s wedding at the Grove, which as they say on their website is 300 acres of country estate yet only 18 miles from Piccadilly Circus. As expected it was a busy and colourful wedding with fantastic food and plenty of dancing, with the added pleasure of being welcomed back By Mariam and Haseeb and their families.
If you’re considering getting married at the Grove, Watford, or anywhere for that matter and you like what you see on this site and think my approach to a wedding might work for you then please do get in touch. I’d love to have a chat about your plans. But enough of the words! Here’s the pictures.
