In the past couple of months I’ve had the pleasure of assisting at a couple of weddings for a friend of mine, wedding photographer Rex Preston. The first of these was a wedding at Haselbury Mill in Somerset. Lisa And Jeff’s wedding was a laid back affair in a lovely setting with great weather. On the day a great bunch of people, friends and family came together to eat, drink dance and celebrate Lisa and Jeff’s marriage. Rex and I started with Lisa and her bridesmaids covering their preparations and then I moved on to the venue to catch up with Jeff and the gathering guests at Haselbury Mill itself.
Second shooting means that I may not always have the ‘conventional’ or expected image of a scene but then it’s quite often the case that I don’t have the conventional image in any case, It also means that I may not spend as much time on a particular subject as I might otherwise, for example my coverage of Lisa’s prep was much lighter than usual, Rex being the primary photographer covered the large part of that. But even so I’m pleased with the images and I know that Lisa and Jeff are over the moon with the collection of images they received.
If you’re getting married and looking for a wedding photographer or Haselbury Mill, in Somerset or anywhere else in the country or out of it, I’d love to talk to you about it. Drop me a line for a chat.
Here’s several large handfuls of some of my images from the day.
